Lisa Bettini Moro
Lisa is the creator and owner of PACE Pilates and has been a physical fitness professional for over 25 years. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/ Exercise Science from Arizona State University and began her career in the health club industry. She formerly held positions with Q the Sports Club as a Group Exercise Director and later at the Concourse Athletic Club in Atlanta as the Athletic Director. After becoming more interested in functional and corrective exercise, she began training to teach Pilates and began working for close friend Jody Stern, founder of The Pilates Body, in 2001. In 2009, Jody opened her new location in Central Phoenix and Lisa became the owner of the Arcadia studio. As the owner, Lisa expanded the Arcadia Pilates Body location to add an additional Mat class studio, added TRX Suspension Training, a Lifestyle Lecture Series and began attracting more clients over 65 and with degenerative spinal conditions. In 2012, Lisa and Jody became trained in the Body Arts and Science International (BASI) method of Pilates as well. They were honored to be accepted into the inaugural ProBridge program with BASI and to work directly with founder and world-renowned educator Rael Isacowitz. In 2016, Lisa’s studio became a location for
Ascend Performance Institute owned by Rick Little PT. Lisa has combined the knowledge and experience she has gained from working closely with API with her Pilates expertise to continue expanding a unique style of teaching reflected in her current client work. In 2018, she recreated her studio as PACE (Pilates Adaptations & Corrective Exercise) as a studio dedicated to her area of specialty and passion to help those who wish to benefit from Pilates exercise while addressing their injuries, conditions or age. Lisa teaches Pilates fitness clients of all levels—beginner to advanced—as well those clients being referred for injuries and conditions. Her sessions include creative and therapeutically-sound adaptations of typical Pilates exercises and repertoire, clinically indicated adapted protocol for specific conditions, and corrective exercises and techniques to improve alignment, posture, joint-mechanics and deep stabilization.
Lisa feels passionate that the scientifically sound approach of Pilates, along with its beauty and mind to body precision, can create profound positive changes to an individual’s physical and mental well-being and lives with a personal dedication to Pilates exercise in her own life every single week.
